Tidings

At the dawn of the morning sun

Songbirds cheer me with their fun

With strains of melody sung

To relax the mind of stress

And bring tidings of happiness

In life’s way you can bless.

Down the trail they scamper

And squirrels will chatter

Doing whatever they matter

Since the day is sunny and brighter

Sharing the tidings of life that’s better

Only given by their Creator.

The cheery crown sparrow

Is sharing the sweet song

And he has become our friend

Staying close by has become his trend

Will even come to the feeder to fend

Time at the apple tree by many spend.
