River Bank

Along the river bank

The frog gave a hop

The little minnows swarm

And give the birds a feed

Though some birds like seed

In the wilderness nature is freed.

Every color, kind and size

Birds swish through the skies

Just listen to their cries

Watch the way each one flies

They will find the cherry pies

Feed the baby in the nest it lies.

Look into the eyes of a deer

Do you see the constant fear

And it makes me drop a tear

Then behold the baby deer

Hide the babe and make it clear

That he is safe from the queer.
