Horses

He’ll come to the fence to greet you

With his stout, sturdy body strong

For that’s the way he grew

To make his elegant treading give a thrill

Perhaps that gray horse will pull the plow

But the black one will drive the sleigh

The pony will ride the children now

Bright white horses also have their way

He sure uses his bright brain

Intelligence God gave him to gain

The respect of his master

Who trains him how to prosper

Do you have a shiny pet horse

Look into his bright big eyes

For he has feelings in his course

That show as much as you and I

All those horses can run so fast

And makes a cloud of dust

Quick, out of the way you must

Otherwise you will not last.
